Justice Satish Chandra takes oath as chief justice of Delhi High Court

As per clause(1) of article 222 of the constitution of India, President after consulting with Chief Justice of India pleased to transfer Justice Satish Chandra Sharma,Chief Justice of Telangana High Court as Chief Justice of Delhi High Court. After retirement of justice D N Patel Delhi high court was functioning without chief justice and Justice Vipin Sanghi acted as chief justice since March,he is now appointed as Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court.After transfer of Justice Vipin, Justice Satish Chandra has taken oath as Chief Justice that has been administered by lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena at Raj Niwas,the L-G's secretariat. In which Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, MLA's Somnath Bharti,Madan Lal, Senior Judges and advocates has been attended.


Background of Justice Satish Chandra Sharma:

He was in Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2018 as additional judge and in 2010 as permanent judge, previously was Chief Justice at Telangana High Court.He is connected to various law universities and advisory board member at NLU Bhopal.He is popular for research articles and papers on various concepts.
